Zomato-NSE sign MoU to impart financial literacy to delivery partners

Zomato, India’s food ordering and delivery platform has joined hands with NSE to launch a comprehensive ‘Financial Literacy’ program for delivery partners. A first-of-its kind initiative aimed at promoting financial literacy among Zomato on-boarded delivery partners, the program was officially kick-started at Shilpakala Vedika Auditorium in Hyderabad with 2,000+ delivery partners attending the workshop. This program aims to educate delivery partners on better personal finance management and spread financial awareness. As part of this collaboration, Zomato and NSE will be collaborating on conducting such events pan-India and educate 50,000+ Zomato on-boarded delivery partners over the next year.

This industry-first program shall enable Zomato on-boarded delivery partners to learn the nuances of different financial instruments and provide guidance on how to prepare better for financial emergencies and achieve personal life goals with reduced financial stress. With this collaboration, Zomato and NSE aim to empower delivery partners with the necessary financial knowledge and tools that will help them make prudent financial decisions paving a path towards financial independence.

To promote financial awareness, Zomato had also recently introduced and facilitated ITR filing for the delivery partners via the Zomato Delivery mobile-app through which more than 85,000 delivery partners filed their ITR for the FY 2023-24 and over ₹12Cr-worth of refunds were processed.

This partnership with Zomato is a significant step in expanding our outreach to a critical segment of the workforce that drives the digital economy.
