Cleartrip ropes in Anuj Rathi as new CEO

According to media reports, Flipkart has appointed Anuj Rathi as the new CEO of its travel booking unit, Cleartrip. Rathi, who is returning to Flipkart after 12 years, will replace Ayyappan R. This marks Rathi’s second stint at the Walmart-owned company, having previously worked there as a Product Manager from 2010 to 2012.

Anuj Rathi, an IIT Kanpur alumnus with over 18 years of industry experience, was previously the chief product and marketing officer at fintech firm Jupiter. His career includes significant roles at Walmart, Snapdeal, and Swiggy, among others. Additionally, media reports indicate that several senior leaders, including Prabh Simran Singh, Senior Vice President of customer growth and retention, marketing and ads, and Sankalp Mehrotra, Vice President of Monetisation, are also departing from the company.
